Chagall worked hard, completed several paintings and began a ceramic dinner service for Ida Chagall's wedding. Virginia McNeil drew sketches of the various elements and shapes so that Suzanne Ramié could have them made in ceramic. Chagall had already experimented with painting in blue and white. Virginia McNeil asked Ida Chagall for details of her wishes for the service.
